Tip: Stock groups allow us to manage and track animals of a similar age, weight or production state. For example:
2024 Ewes and Cull Ewes may be groups within your Ewe Mob
Yearlings Sep 25 and 250kg Steers may be groups within your Trader Cattle Mob.
Atlas Grazing makes it fast and simple to keep track of stock groups and mobs. Use a Split Record when you have one stock group that you need to divide to many stock groups. For example, you may cull and draft out some of your 2024 Ewes to sell. You can split them out into your Cull Ewes stock group. This allows you to keep your livestock inventory accurate.
1. From the Home Dashboard select "Add new"
2. Select "Stock group"
3. Select "Split stock group"
4. Click the 'Select a date' field and choose the date you split the stock groups.
5. Click "Select stock group"
6. Select the stock group you want to split.
Tip: You can either create a new stock group or select the existing stock group to draft the head count to a “destination”.
1. Select "Existing stock groups"
2. Select the stock group you want to split into. Then Select "Add"
3. Select "Amount to add"
4. Enter the number of head in the split.
5. Select "Next"
6. Review the details of the stock group split before selecting "Continue" to complete
