Recording Feed estimates helps you to quantify your natural feed inventory and improves graze planning. Combined with reported Yield Metrics, regularly recording feed estimates prior and post Graze, enables you to develop this valuable skill giving you control of your graze operations.
The way feed estimates are used in Atlas Grazing is to act as a budget for your grazes. You record how much feed you think a paddock has and when you plan a graze, we’ll be able to use that estimate to show you if your planned graze is over or under your estimate. We’ll also be able to show how close to your estimate your in progress graze is. When the graze is complete, you’ll be able to see roughly how much residual is left.
